Evergreen

Sunday, June 10th, 2007

I was making some BBQ shrimp last night (in the rain) on our deck and I noticed that the light was hitting an evergreen in a particular way that made it sparkle. I got up close and noticed that the sparkling was due to tiny water droplets that had been ...

We were recently in North Dakota spending time with Codi's family. Here are some photos taken in Medora and in the Theodore Roosevelt National Park.

High Adventure! Aerial Photographs of Oregon Vineyards!

Thursday, May 10th, 2007

Boy, did I ever have a fun morning! I was out at Argyle Winery when a conversation turned to aerial photography. I've been itching to take aerials for years, so I offered to take some photos. Minutes later I was strapping in to a little two-seater Cessna, ...

Oregon Flowers - Tulip Closeup with Macro Lens

Thursday, April 12th, 2007

Codi and I took a quick break from a nigh impossible work schedule to take some photos. Here's a neat one I got with a Canon 100mm macro lens. (It's a tulip, in case you didn't recognize it.)

Voilà, c’est le printemps!

Friday, March 30th, 2007

New Lenses Coming Soon?

Saturday, January 27th, 2007

I've been on a long, tiring, frustrating search for a new lens or two for my camera. From a list of ten lenses, I have it narrowed down to three finalists... I hope. Anyway, two of these lenses were tested out at a local camera store. I took ...

Chemical X

Saturday, January 20th, 2007

I had an opportunity to snap a few shots at a friend's private concert. The band is Chemical X, and our friend, MG, is the lead singer. I took nearly 300 shots in an hour. (300 counts as "a few" shots, right?). I'm happy with about 20 or ...

Hot and Snowy

Tuesday, January 16th, 2007

Codi and I spent a little time in Florida recently visiting friends and family. We went from hot & sunny to cold & snowy almost in an instant. Here are two photos to show the difference 3,000 miles can make.
