Unusual Style of Photography

I found an amazing set of photographs on flickr.com recently. I was so impressed by the style of photography and post-production (photoshopping), that I stuck up a dialog with the photographer to find out how he does it. Then I tried one of my own photos along similar lines as his.

It’s an unusual look, for sure. It can make people look older than they are, but the textures and colors make for a pretty expressive image.

Ho Ho Holy Critmits it’s COLD out!!

Today marked the annual trip to Sleighbells Christmas tree farm in Sherwood. We went with our friends, the GVL family. Here’s the view from the east-facing hills at the tree farm. Gorgeous, huh? Of course, it was in the 30′s! I’m just thawing out now.

Codi and I got some time with Santa! I asked for extra warm socks. One can hope. =)

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to all our friends and family around the world!

Here’s a photo of some tasty apple pie!

This squirrel was pretty camera-friendly as he was stealing seeds from a bird feeder.

More Guitars, Fewer Excuses

My friend Joe recently moved to NYC. Before he left, he unloaded most of his belongings to make the trip easier. Bequeathed to me were three guitars – a home-made electric, a full-acoustic and a Delta King hollow body electric jazz/blues guitar. These three guitars join my previously lonely Yamaha acoustic-electric. Now I have four guitars and no remaining excuses for not getting back into playing. (Though I could use a new 15″ Powerbook with GarageBand!! That would help!)
