I’ve been doing a massive reorganization of my photos and videos recently. I found a funny clip taken at the Oregon Zoo and thought it was worth sharing again.

Oak and Honey

Temperatures dropped and winds picked up, causing this huge oak tree to snap in half before dawn. One of the most interesting after-effects was the raw honey dripping from many pieces of wood. It turns out that the tree was filled with bees and very large honey combs.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to all our friends and family around the world!

Here’s a photo of some tasty apple pie!

This squirrel was pretty camera-friendly as he was stealing seeds from a bird feeder.

In Flight Entertainment

Posted on November 23, 2006

Codi and I were recently up at the ungodly hour of 3am for a flight south. One of the benefits of such an early flight is the guaranteed sunrise and associated photo opportunities. Here are a few select shots.

Here I am, staring a) intently, b) blankly, c) groggily out the window at the rising sun.

The sun was cutting through the clouds with bright orange bands of light.

A close-up of the last angle…

The thick 300-mile wide cloud cover was broken by a mysterious clearing around the northern side of Mount Shasta.
