In the News

It looks like proof reading in the media is not a high priority today.

‘It was going 125mph, but we don’t know how fast it was going.’

President Bush President said…

Microsoft’s new MP3 player is made by Apple… not.

Signs of Fall

Aside from the temperatures dropping 20 degrees in the last few days, there are a few signs that Fall is on its way. In Oregon, this is typically marked by monsoon season – buckets of rain, 24/7. Heck, it even rains inside! Right?

Harvest season is upon us. Crops and colors change, and skies darken.

Fun things like twisty gourds can be found at local farms.

The Octobrist gourd, the venerable pumpkin, makes its orange mark on the season.

Tasty Goodness

I was out on the town yesterday with NM taking photos for an upcoming magazine article. It was torture – 313 photos of desserts, breads and other tasty treats. Here are a few shots that make me hungry.

Dahlias in Canby, Oregon

Codi and I went to the Canby Dahlia Festival today to take some photos. We ended up with 308 shots, most of which turned out beautifully. Here are just a few samples. Maybe I’ll post more later.

This is what 308 images look like as a contact sheet. Doesn’t look like much to me. Next time I’ll take more.

There were hundreds, maybe thousands, of bees. It wasn’t distracting at all – they were busy (har har) getting pollen.

Here we are…

This dahlia looks like it has teeth. Feed me Seymore, feed me now!

Codi took this picture. I like the angle and colors.

This reminds me of an artichoke blooming… sort of.
