It’s Good To Be Home!

Codi and I returned to Oregon this afternoon. We taxi’d home, dropped our bags and headed straight to Zeppo for an iced tea and some really good pasta.

Gorgeous any day of the week, and even more spectacular today, Mount Hood presented itself for some really great photos. Here’s the view from row 7…

Unfortunately, there was ice on the window, so there are some slight marks on the image.

Here’s a closer shot with the zoom lense. The full-sized image is great – you can see individual rocks and snow/ice patches on all the way up to the summit.

I like this photo – Mount Hood with distant snow-capped peaks in view…

Birthday!

Wee! I’m 35!

White Water Swimming

Codi and her sisters went swimming this evening. I took a few long-exposure shots. This one is cool – the water looks milky white and the whole image has an infrared glow.

Another Funny Day

Codi and I spotted this orthodontic center and literally gasped out loud. It used to be a gas station, then it was a muffler shop, and about two years ago it was a check cashing joint (of course, back then the building was bright yellow, not purple). Would you trust your teeth to someone in this office? I imagine the dialog between a patient and the receptionist: “Hello Mr. Jones. Doctor Bob will be with you in a moment. Just take your chart to service bay number two…”

After lunch we spotted this funny sign. =)
