My very first laptop was a Tandy, way back in 1989 or 1990. It had a black & white screen and NO hard drive. I had to use a floppy disk to run the word processor, then swap the floppy so I could save a document, then swap the floppy again so I could close the word processing program. All programs worked like that. The laptop wasn’t very empowering, but it was neat to have a portable computer under 20lbs!
