It was nice and cold out this morning, so I took a walk in Mountain Park.

Is this a beautiful picture or what?! I love the colors and the shape of the steam/ash plume!

I was so looking forward to climbing up Mount St. Helens this Autumn, but now that looks like it’s not going to happen. Of the tens of millions of years of open schedule for eruptions, it had to be this year.

Here’s a picture of Codi and me at the base of Mount St. Helens, and what the same spot looked like this afternoon. Hopefully the upper trails will be open again soon.
