I was talking to a woman today about her company’s scheduling. She had a brochure that gave all kinds of info (much more than I needed). I said that I didn’t really need the brochure, but she insisted that I take it. She told me, “These things are scarcer than hens’ teeth in August!”
I smiled and walked away, brochure in hand. For two hours I’ve been wondering a few things. 1) Who says things like that anymore? 2) Do hens really have teeth? 3) Why would they be scarce in August?
