PATIENCE PAYS OFF

I have been waiting for a shot like this for a long time. The moon was not visible until about 15 minutes after sunset and it sort of exploded into view from behind a thin haze. No warning, no slow start – just nothing, then this awesome view!   (Canon Digital Rebel SLR with 300mm lens, effective 450mm zoom thanks to the Rebel’s built-in 1.5x conversion.   f/6 1/200 sec. 400 ISO.)

THE BEST LITTLE TOWN IN THE WORLD

Lake Oswego – our home. Located just a few minutes south of Portland, Lake Oswego (aka “Lake O” or “L.O.”) has a population of about 34,000 people. Well, maybe 34,002. There are lots of cool little shops, a beautiful lake, waterfalls, the quaint little Lake Twin theater and, of course, a few Starbucks. The Willamette River runs along the eastern border of Lake O, and the lake feeds the Willamette at the very south-eastern tip of Lake O. Many of the pictures below are taken in or around Lake Oswego.
