SPIDER

I got a close-up of a spider near the apartment. No macro lens this time, but it’s a pretty decent shot.

COOL QUOTE FROM NIKE

I found this quote from Nike (which happens to be located just outside Portland).  I like the message and how it describes how advanced they want to be in the ‘sports products’ world. Granted, I don’t own Nike shoes and I’m not a sports freak who drools at the name of some overpaid hypocrite athlete, but I have to admit I like Nike’s style.

“Consumers today are more sophisticated and better educated than in any previous generation. They decide what they want and when they want it. At Nike, our challenge is to anticipate what they’ll want and be ready with a solution. When we’re really good, it’s something — a product, a service, a whatever — that’s so intuitively perfect the consumer hasn’t even imagined it could exist. Your job? To make sure we know our consumers better than we know ourselves.” – Nike

PORTLAND CITY ZOO v2

It was a nice warm day at the Portland City Zoo. Lots of animals were out enjoying a sneak preview of Spring in Portland. Codi and I took 120 pictures, and a few of them are here for you to enjoy. Check out the two parrots! Get a cage!

SUN AND CLOUDS OVER LAKE OSWEGO

Codi and I were driving past the Lake Oswego golf course on our way to Giant Burger when we saw the sun cutting through some clouds. The cloud formations were changing rapidly and the dispersed light was really interesting. We could look directly at the sun and see the outlines as if it was a solar eclipse. I pulled the car over and shot these pics through the small band of UV tinting on my windshield. I like the middle picture – looks like a creepy face peering down!
