Silver Falls State Park is a beautiful state park located about 30 miles east of Salem, Oregon. It covers about 114 acres and has ten gorgeous waterfalls along a trail approximately 9 miles long. The main waterfall is 177 feet tall and falls over a cliff of volcanic rock. It’s really amazing. Upper North Falls is also very nice – about 38 feet high and really powerful. Looks like it has a great swimming hole at the bottom of it, but the water was a bit too cold to swim in today.
