SOME FUN PICTURES NEAR THE WILLAMETTE RIVER

I took these photos today about 200 yards from home. They were all taken with a Canon Digital Rebel. Most are in macro mode with a 70/300mm lens, but a couple of them were taken at full 300mm zoom. I was playing around with the Av (Aperature value) mode on the camera, so a few pics have a really neat halo or glow around the subjects. It’s nice to get an effect like that without using PhotoShop or PaintShop.

MOUNT TABOR PARK – PORTLAND, OREGON

Mt. Tabor park – on top of an extinct volcano in Portland, Oregon. It’s one of only two volcanoes located in the center of a US city. (The other is in Bend, Oregon.)
